Why do an Energy Audit? A HERS rating, (Home Energy Rating Service), can give you valuable information on how you can bring your utility bills down. With an EnergyCheckup you can find out if you have any leaky air ducts or how much return on value you can get by trading out old inefficient windows. For those of you thinking of selling, I will have your home inspector add an energy audit for free to your inspection. The HERS rating will help me sell your house as a GREEN rated house. Bad news from the rating? Not to worry. I have ways to reassure a buyer that bad news isn't necessarily a deal killer because the audit will be full of rebates and good direction for the buyer.
